Dr Delphinium Designs & Events feels it is important to give back to the community. Each month we donate products, time and money to many charities, foundations, and schools. Listed to the side are some of the groups we have given to recently.
Our employees participate in a program we call Dr D Gives Back. Here are some causes we have been proud to help.
The ALS North Texas Chapter:
Dr Delphinium Gives Back this month by creating awareness
for ALS, Lou Gehrig’s Disease. Every arrangement delivered in the month of June
will be tagged with information about the not-for-profit charity as well as help
spread the word about the “Calling All Heroes” Gala benefiting ALS.

Boys and Girls Clubs of America:
Dr Delphinium Gave Back by participating as an In-Kind
Sponsor for the Great Futures Chairman’s Dinner.
In every
community, boys and girls are left to find their own recreation and
companionship in the streets. An increasing number of children are at home with
no adult care or supervision. Young people need to know that someone cares about
them.
Boys & Girls
Clubs offer that and more. Club programs and services promote and enhance the
development of boys and girls by instilling a sense of competence, usefulness,
belonging and influence.
Boys & Girls
Clubs are a safe place to learn and grow – all while having fun. It is the place
where great futures are started each and every day.
Exodus Ministries Dallas:
Dr Delphinium Gave Back in May by donating a portion of the
proceeds collected from an exclusive Mother’s Day floral arrangement to Exodus
Ministries.
Exodus Ministries
assists female ex-offenders that are re-entering society after incarceration in
the Texas Department of Criminal Justice system and have demonstrated a
willingness to make positive changes in their life. These women are dealing with
the residual pain of having been separated from their children for a long period
of time and do not have the immediate financial resources to sustain their
family. Exodus helps them and their families to become productive members of
society by serving their spiritual and physical needs.
Through the
Exodus program model, the women are provided a chance to change their destiny
along with that of their children. At Exodus they re-invent themselves by
developing life and money management skills, becoming employed, starting a
savings account, and most importantly – becoming a positive influence for their
children to make correct life choices.

Foundation for Sarcoidosis Research:
Sarcoidosis is a potentially fatal inflammatory disease that can appear in
almost any organ in the body. Although the lungs are affected in more than 90%
of patients, the disease often attacks the heart, eyes, central nervous system,
liver and kidneys.
FSR is leading the research to improve the diagnosis and treatment of
sarcoidosis with new medicines. There is no cure for this disease but with the
proper funds FSR can find a breakthrough for this disease.

World Wildlife Organization:
Dr D Gives Back to the World Wildlife Organization to protect endangered species
and keep our earth healthy and less polluted. WWF's mission is the conservation
of nature. Currently, much of its work focuses on the conservation of forest,
freshwater ecosystems, endangered species, pollution, and climate change. By
donating, we help conserve nature's most important natural places and keep an
abundance of life on earth.

St. Vincent de Paul Thrift Store:
Dr Delphinium sponsored children for the 1st Annual St. Vincent de Paul Thrift
Store Back to School Bash.
This event took place at St. Vincent de Paul Thrift Store. Majority of the
children come from a low-income family and need help in preparing for the new
school year. The children will receive haircuts, dental screenings,
immunizations, school uniforms, shoes and school supplies.
St. Vincent Thrift is hoping to raise enough money to sponsor 400 students in
Dallas Area.

Love146.org:
Love146 works toward the abolition of child sex slavery and exploitation in
South East Asia.
Children are being trafficked and raped daily. This physical, mental and
emotional trauma can leave children broken and scarred for life. Interventions
for these children are critical to their survival and restoration.
Love 146 Round Home, was built and designed to facilitate the restoration and
holistic health of every child entering its doors. The approach to running the
home is attuned to the needs of the exploited and traumatized child, which
include both the needs of ordinary children as well as children who have been
wounded in many ways, lack hope, are broken, lack opportunities and self-worth.
Therefore, the Round Home is characterized by efforts to keep the child safe and
well provided for, instill hope, effect healing and restoration, promote growth
and development, facilitate the release of potentials, and enable the child to
come full circle, liberated from their traumas and sufferings, to realize their
innate worth.
Love 146 is dedicated in stopping the exploitation of children and providing a
safehome for rehabilitation.
"My idea of a safehome is where we nurse the bird's broken wing. If we do well
with our nursing, then the bird should be able to fly again and out of the
safehome, and soar to the heights it was meant to reach. If it casts a glance at
the safehome again, then it should be from above, among the clouds of its
achievements."
